Ruth P. Kuguminkiriza – Director Fundraising

Ruth is an experienced Public Health Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the public health sector and Non-profit Organizations. Skilled in Health Promotion, Monitoring and Evaluation, Message testing, Advocacy, Grant writing and Public Speaking. She is a strong international development researcher with experience designing, leading, and providing technical assistance for project evaluations related to sexual and reproductive health, corruption, financial literacy, targeting ultra-poor and with a Master of Science in Environmental and Public Health from University of Salford, United Kingdom.

Ruth is passionate about human-centered design and strives to integrate its processes into more traditional development approaches. She found her way as a research consultant for a non-profit in the United Kingdom after years of field-based public health research and program implementation in the United Kingdom with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and in Uganda with the Uganda Village Project and Peripheral Vision International. As Research manager for Peripheral Vision International in Uganda – an award winning media NGO that combines the strength of a creative media agency with the latest technical knowledge and training on Social and Behaviour Change communication ¬- Ruth used digital insights to drive strategy and evaluation for health advocacy campaigns like Planned Parenthood Global, and several other communication projects including ‘Newzbeat and Chicken n Chips’. Additionally, Ruth is a Global Health Corps Alumni- a non-profit that embraces the fact that health is a human right.
